Second -Year English Majored Students’ Perception of Possible Problems in Writing Essays

چکیده

To acquire a language, learners need to be skillful at the four skills namely: listening, speaking, reading and writing. Among them, writing is usually considered complex skill learn. This study aimed investigate second-year English majored students’ perception of essay problems encountered solutions overcome these problems. The participants this are 44 second year students public university in Mekong Delta Vietnam, consisting 32 females 12 males. data were collected by questionnaire explore difficulties EFL essays their expectations from lecturers as well themselves have better performance. results revealed that face major including linguistic, psychological, cognitive factors. With hope get performance, expected more assistance lecturers, giving feed backs on pieces, recommending appropriate materials providing grammar courses. They also admitted pieces will improved when they practice such forming habits, gaining vocabularies self-editing or asking feedback peers.
